Does PlugBug need to be plugged in for Find My tracking to work?
Due to specific electrical regulations, the power for the Find My portion of PlugBug is completely separate & isolated from the AC charger. To power Find My, PlugBug uses the same replaceable button battery as the Apple AirTag, and should last about a year. You can also monitor battery status directly in the Find My app.
Does it matter which port I plug my device into?
No, because of dynamic Power Delivery, you can plug your device into any port to get the available charging wattage. When multiple devices are plugged in, PlugBug will deliver the required wattage to each device. Check out the chart to see how this works:

Another great TwelveSouth product

My 5+ year old 100W multiport charger looks soon to fail. I’d been considering the PlugBug for some time. International travel pushed me over the line. The Find My is a feature I hope I never need, but I’m glad to have it.
